Fishing Loch Goil

Loch Goil is one of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park sea lochs. Like all Scottish sea lochs fishing is available all year free of charge and can be fished from the shore or from a boat. The loch is a deep water mud bottomed loch where good fishing is available. Check out the Scottish fishing records at this link.

 

If you want to hire a boat then you can try:-

 D&M Auto Marine in the village of Lochgoilhead where there is a selection of boats although not in the winter months. Rod hire is also available. To book contact them on 01301 703432.

Loch Goil Cruisers hire out boats throughout the year and also provide equipment. You can book them on 01301 703382

Fishing River Goil

There are Trout and Salmon runs on the River Goil and permits are available from the Lochgoilhead post office contactable on 01301 703201. The daily permit is £15 and there are limitations on the river details of which are available from the post office. The best fishing in this river is June to October and only when there has been rain.
