Fishing Lake of Menteith

The lake of Menteith is at Port of Menteith and only 2 miles from Aberfoyle on the main Stirling Road. Drive to the port of Menteith and then turn right and head for the Lake Hotel. The fine 700-acre Lake of Menteith is arguably the finest rainbow trout water in Scotland. It is stocked with a thousand fish each week. The lake has excellent facilities at the Fishery Lodge which includes toilet facilities. There is also a generous sized area with a wood burning stove where anglers can have their snacks or lunch during inclement weather. There is also facilities for making tea or coffee which is free of charge. Disabled anglers are very welcome and there is a disabled toilet facility.
