Fishing Loch Lubnaig

Approximately 4 miles long and situated about 3 miles west of Callander, Loch Lubnaig is a great loch to fish if you are staying in the Callander or Strathyre area. Although there is no Sunday fishing for the rest of the week in the fishing season you might catch salmon, brown trout, char or perch. There is also pike fishing at the west end of the loch. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from a boat. There a number of places along the A84 where boat launch is permissible.

Accommodation is available in Strathyre to the west of the loch and Callander to the east. The main road runs along the North side of the loch with numerous handy lay byes and picnic parks. On the south of the loch there is a cycle track giving access to much quieter banks.
