Edinburgh
Festival and of course the Internationally renowned Fringe Festival
make Edinburgh one of the most popular city destinations in Europe.
This three week festival which runs from early August to the
beginning of September, has over the years grown to become the
worlds largest festival of its kind and with the ever popular fringe
festival, you cannot visit Edinburgh at this time of year without
becoming involved.

Edinburgh's
streets become open air theatres, particularly in the Royal
Mile and the Princess street area. Pubs, clubs, community
halls, schools, and parks all become venues for the fringe
to compliment the international opera companies and
orchestras which have control over the larger venues. The
atmosphere is quite incredible and with so many shows from
serious plays to comedy stand up, everybody's tastes are
catered for.

Although
accommodation directly within the city and close surrounding areas
are expensive and hard to come by, most other prices are incredibly
good value for money with many shows free or a token price. If you
are in or around the Lomond National Park at this time of year then
why not arrange a day out to Edinburgh.
